We had a moving Remembrance Worship led by Y5/6 last Thursday. They acted out and danced to portray soldiers in action in World War I and then wrote prayers and comments from the point of view of soldiers in the trenches, loved ones back home and children today. On Friday the whole school visited church to look at the War Memorial and think and reflect about more peaceful times.
The netball club played their first 'friendly' against Ampney Crucis on Monday. The children played well against an experienced team and we are looking forward to a return match soon.
On Tuesday, we participated in the Small Schools Sports Hall Athletics. Well done to all the children who took part - we are waiting for the overall tournament results.
The children had an enjoyable evening last Friday listening to stories with the Yarn Whisperer in an event organised by the 'Friends'. Thank you to Charlie our Yarn Whisperer.
We welcomed Gerald Seal and his two PAT (Pets as Therapy) dogs Tango and Waffle to school on Wednesday. Gerald talked about their role as volunteer therapy dogs. Please take a look at our facebook page for some pictures.
