A Christian School
Jesus said, "Love one another as I have loved you." John 13 v34 and 35
Our school is rooted in Christian values and these permeate all that we do.
As a church school we believe that our role is to educate the whole child and that the spiritual growth of our children is as important as their academic achievement. Our Christian values underpin our curriculum and we embrace spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. Please see our Statement of Christian Values.
The principles that reflect our school's commitment to developing all aspects of our pupils' lives are:
- The knowledge that life is a gift (kindness and respect)
- The willingness to put yourself in someone else's shoes (love and compassion)
- The joy of a fresh start (forgiveness)
- Good companionship and a sense of community (friendship)
- The knowledge that we all need each other to make the school a happy place (teamwork and happiness)
Our values are reinforced and celebrated in our worship assemblies when we share good news and recognise those who demonstrate the values, however quietly and unassumingly. Our 'Cuddlies' are much loved soft toys who are awarded to nominated children. Our Cuddlies.
Church School Reports
As a Church of England School we are visited each year by a representative of the Bishop of Gloucester. She reports on our Christian Distinctiveness and how well we meet the requirements and expectations as a church school. Please read her most recent reports below:
We also undergo a Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) every five years. Please read our outstanding report from 2017.
